The Chapel’s children’s ministry provides age-appropriate teaching of the written word of God to increase the comprehension of and love for the person of God, reinforcing the parents in their roles as those primarily responsible for the spiritual training of their children.
Children ages 2-4 are invited to our toddler classroom during all Chapel services and adult classes. The room is equipped with books, toys, allergy friendly snacks, changing table, and child size bathroom for those who are potty trained. The children will begin to learn the basics of the Bible and faith. There are age-appropriate lessons and crafts and teachable moments are used to impart Biblical principles.
Gopher Buddies is a Wednesday Night class for 4yr.olds (as of Aug. 31) thru kindergarten. The focus of this year long program is to help children begin to develop a personal quiet time, to memorize scripture, to dig deeper into God’s word through weekly Bible lessons, and to serve the Body through Christian Service activities. The curriculum is through Word of Life.
The Adventure Club is a Wednesday night class for all 1st to 5th graders. The curriculum is specifically designed to provide children with essential doctrine and biblical truth in a transformative way that is directly applicable to their salvation and sanctification. Each week there is a time of singing, a 15-20 minute Bible lesson, games, prizes, and opportunity to break up into smaller, age appropriate, discussion groups. The goal of the class is to teach sound doctrine at each child’s learning level while making new friends and having fun at the same time.
The Chapel values sound biblical teaching through curriculums such as Answers in Genesis and Word of Life. During the Sunday School hour, children will grow in their knowledge and understanding of God’s Word while also enjoying games, crafts, and age-appropriate activities.
Children aged 4 years of age through second grade are welcome to attend a special class during the sermon portion of the Sunday worship service. Trained teachers lead the children in engaging Bible lessons, crafts, and games.
