Music

The musicians, vocalists, and song leaders who make up the Chapel Music Ministry seek to honor the Lord Jesus Christ and encourage the church to praise and worship Him through congregational singing.  The diverse selection of songs we sing on Sunday mornings are aimed at stirring us to worship in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).  As a result, they are Bible-based, doctrinally rich, and theologically robust.

Congregational Singing

In our worship services at the Chapel, we emphasize the active participation of the whole congregation in singing and making melody with their hearts to the Lord with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs (Ephesians 5:19).  Such singing is central to the musical component of our worship services.  Congregational singing at the Chapel spans the entire range of human emotion, engaging both the mind and the heart.  We select songs from a variety of musical styles to facilitate congregational singing among a group of believers of all ages and backgrounds.

Music Team

In a broad sense, all believers who are in attendance during a corporate worship service are part of the music team. More specifically, though, the Chapel Music Team is comprised of:

1. An overseeing elder
2. A music director
3. Song leaders
4. Instrumentalists (including piano, keyboard, organ, drums, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, electric guitar, and more)
5. Vocalists (including soloists, harmony vocalists, and ensemble vocalists)
6. A music planning committee

Choirs

The Chapel Choirs are a longstanding tradition for special services and a wonderful opportunity to build relationships with other church members while glorifying God through singing songs of praise and worship. The Youth Choir (ages 6th grade- young adult) practice weekly on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:00PM Adult Choir (anyone post-high school) practices seasonally for Christmas and Easter.

Audio/Visual

The committed group of volunteers comprising the Chapel’s audio/visual team seek to serve the Lord with their gifts and abilities in a broad range of support functions, from managing the display of song lyrics and sermon notes on Sunday mornings to recording and editing video for our practorium (seminary-level training) classes.

WE BELIEVE THE BIBLE, THE WHOLE BIBLE, AND NOTHING BUT THE BIBLE.
