Join us on a Sunday morning and give during our worship service or mail a check to the church building. Please make checks payable to Grace Brethren Chapel and send to 1820 State Route 590, Gibsonburg, OH 43431.
Automatic bill pay is another way to give regularly and consistently to the Chapel. It also avoids the fees that we incur through online giving. Each bank is different, so visit your bank’s website and follow its instructions to set up an automatic payment. Giving is not a way to earn God’s grace or forgiveness, but rather it is response to the grace and forgiveness he has extended to us in the gospel. As God’s people grow in their understanding of this good news they are transformed into an open-handed community that gives freely of their resources. All donations that are received are used to further the mission of the church in our local community and around the world.
As you consider giving, here are some important scriptural commands for motives and attitudes in the area of giving. Giving is to be generous, not stingy (2 Corinthians 9:6). Giving is to be enthusiastic, not grudging (Acts 20:35). Giving is to be deliberate, not haphazard (2 Corinthians 9:7). Giving is to be discreet, not showy (Matthew 6:1-4). Giving is to be with faith, not anxiety (Matthew 6:31-34).
GENERAL FUNDThis is the default fund into which gifts are deposited. It is used to fund all of the day-to-day operations at the Chapel, as reflected in the Chapel’s yearly budget.
1 PETER 3:8 FUNDThis fund is used by the deacons to provide a range of assistance to those within the Body of Christ who are in need.
NEXT STEP FUNDThis is the Chapel’s capital improvement fund, which is used to pay for ongoing building projects to accommodate congregational growth.
AFRICA Funds given toward the ongoing growth of the ministry in Africa.
YOUTHFunds given toward youth group fundraisers and to send youth to the CGBCI Conference and/or Camp.
BOOK TABLEFunds given toward books that are purchased from our book store, for Sunday School, or bible studies.
